El gineco-obstetra José Ramón Peña Rosario, quien junto al anestesiólogo Timoteo Lantígua y el médico ayudante de cirugía Marcos de la Rosa, hicieron la cesárea a la mujer que no identificó, porque se encontraba fuera del área del hospital público donde labora, dijo que lo acontecido fue algo fortuito, porque no lo esperaban.El galeno manifestó que la sonografía que se le practicó a la paciente, quien se hizo 10 chequeos médicos, sin presentar problemas, arrojó que estaba embarazada de gemelos.
“Pero cuando la internamos en el hospital al sentir los dolores de parto, su situación para tener un parto normal se complicó y fue necesario hacerle una cesárea de emergencia, pero nos llevamos una gran sorpresa al ver que lo que nació fue una criatura de sexo femenino con las características que le hemos descritos”, explicó el médico.Peña Rosario informó que la criatura murió 45 minutos después de haber visto la luz del mundo.
Según el facultativo, ellos recomendaron que al extraño cuerpo se le practicara una autopsia en el Instituto Regional de Patología Forense en Santiago ó Santo Domingo, para verificar como se encontraban los demás órganos internos del cuerpecito, pero que los familiares de la parturienta que residen en Arroyo Barril entre Sánchez y Samaná, decidieron llevársela a su casa para darle cristiana sepultura.
Igualmente, reveló que la joven había tenido un parto anterior sin complicaciones, pero que admitió al equipo médico que participó en la cesárea que había tomado anticonceptivos, sin enterarse que estaba embarazada.
El periodista Lucas Silverio, productor del programa “el Pueblo se Orienta”, del canal de cable Sánchez Visión, dijo que ese alumbramiento ha provocado un gran escándalo en el pueblo.Según Silverio, en Sánchez y comunidades vecinas han surgido muchas voces que giran en torno al caso.
